I feel that she just wants to accomplish as much as possible by any means necessary. Her music has already achieved so much by converging different cultures/sounds and I think her driving force continues to be creativity within her music. I don't think she's lost her motivation, she's just found different channels by which to accomplish what she wants. Her role as a producers hasn't dwindled as much as we think - she is still credited as a producer on every single track off of She Wolf & Sale El Sol. Sure, she may have expanded her usage of other producers, but she's still there doing the work. She isn't listed as the sole producer on ANY of her albums, she's always co-produced. She just happened to work with different people on her last 2 albums, nothing's really changed.
As for the English market, I feel that she's comfortable where she's at and doesn't care too much about it since she has a worldwide following pretty much locked down. Yeah, she might have been more visible in the U.S. during the LS era, but I feel that she's more interested in her worldwide brand than just focusing on the U.S. where she's still doing remarkably well considering the limitations she's faced (lack of promotion, etc.).
The English part I don't understand. Are you saying that she doesn't understand that English is of importance to her career? What do you want her to learn? She already has a firm grasp of the language, what else should she do? If you're talking about her accent, I feel that it fluctuates quite a bit - it is sometimes very heavy (usually after she's promoted a Spanish album - i.e. Sale El Sol or when she's spent a lot of time in a Spanish speaking country - i.e. Spain), but other times it's less jagged. I don't think there's anything wrong with her English, she's still able to communicate efficiently & usually more eloquently than her peers that have known English longer than she has.
Radio hits...again, this to me seems to be of little importance to her. She hasn't really done heavy radio promotion since LS (although she did quite a bit during She Wolf also) and I feel that as long as people hear the music (via any means) she's happy. I don't think she cares all that much about having 1 song being played on the radio all the time. In Spanish radio, they play all her songs (and I do mean ALL of them even MTV Unplugged performances) and I think her ultimate goal is to continue that, but English radio is all about what's hot/in at the moment so she doesn't place much importance on it.
