i wish that these lists from vh1, rolling stone and such would provide specific criteria that they used. sometimes i think people just sit around and throw shit out while having a beer and wing it. i mean, at least with billboard lists you know that they're based on sales and radio play.

If Fantasia can have a 3-4 month run on a TV singing competition, release a few underperforming singles, and yet outrank Shakira who has 20+ year career, something is very very wrong about this list.
