mariah makes me go WHAT WAS SHE THINKING WITH THE TWO VIDEOS UP ON MY FACE AND ANGELS CRY... Up on my Face is one of my favorite songs.. I refuse to talk about that crap that they called video.. and angels cry... the biggest cliches ever.... car stopping ..name of the song comes up (christina aguilera - ain't no other man ). singing in the studio ..singing in the rain... do I need to point it out how many videos had used it.... plus rain and angles cry.. very creative... a five years old can come up with that... there nothing wrong about using elements that has been used before but you HAVE to think about the song... if it works for that song... now I do believe that the album is going to sink... and sink.. and have two new videos, one you looking sad and lonely and the other happy like a little red slut... honestly the director should never do a music video again ... what were they thinking?.. that the only question stucked in my head.

My fave: Daydream/Butterfly

Mariah Carey debut was humble. Emotions was good, but bit boring. Music BOx started to get some of those amazing elements, but Daydream was what that did it for me.
Butterfly, although had more RnB elements, wa just pure gold. Rainbow had a LOT less ballads, probbaly only about 3-5 - she neglected her signature things. And then Glitter we see that. And in CHarmbracaelet she had alot of ballads to redeem her self....TEOM was a humble piece of work, E=MC2 not so much and Memoirs wa shorrible. I have to say i was disappointed with Memoirs. The packaging and the booklet looked so promosing! I thought it was actually gonnabe a "daydream' or "butterfly" album but all it was was autotune crap and probably only 2 acceptable songs.

Mariah Carey is expecting a bundle of joy this December! It's a... new Christmas album!

While People, US Weekly, Radar Online and the rest of tabs hound the 40 old year songstress for news of a blessed birth, Carey is busy indeed gestating.

She's working hard on a Christmas album, with all new versions of her hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You." That song is now the most peopular of all holiday songs, downloaded more and played more than even "White Christmas." So Mariah has smarted up, brought in best pals Jermaine Dupri and Randy Jackson, and they are hard at work getting together their Christmas surprise.

As for the alleged baby-kids, Mariah is not going to tell us anything until the time is right and she's comfortable with it. A 40 year old woman is not going to announce a pregnancy before the fourth month. If you remember, Jennifer Lopez never did announce she was with child. Her twins are on their way to college now! (Just kidding.)

Anyway, Mariah's Christmas album is said to be very lush, with lots of strings and no hip hop. A lot of it is said to be "live" and there's an ochestra. So let's chew on that news, and calm down about the other. And believe me, she won't be announcing anything at Radar Online owned by the National Enquirer. That won't be happening!

And PS: It's not like Mariah's sitting at home with her feet up. She's doing a special gig for Wal Mart tonight outside of Los Angeles.

Yes she is taking Shakiras path an going back to roots.

My Christmas album will be very 90's-me. And then after that I will be embarking on my new studio album which will be inspired from my older albums. It will be like a cross between Daydream and Butterfly. You might even get some hints of old songs which I believe never got their proper shot.

Ideas anyone? sounds luike breakdown and buttefly and underneath the stars!!

that is NOT cliche. It's just a deliberate homage to her older videos one sweet day, through the rain and endless love.
and NEVER compare Mariah to Christina.

She is set to perform at Brazil.

The diva comes to Brazil with a team that includes a masseuse and physical therapist. In total, 40 people will accompany Mariah Carey for her Brazil show

The organization's Cowboy Festival Aid Association is mobilizing a large operation so that the whole structure of the stage, sound and lighting meet the needs of American singer Mariah Carey who will perform a show at the Cowboy Festival in Barretos on August 21. A scenario was developed exclusively for the show which is scheduled to last for 1½ hours.

"We will build on stage two bases to support the platform for the dancers, drums and percussion that are four meters in height and 4 x 4 in diameter," explains director Cassio Leite. "Mariah will also perform on this platform. Entrance will be below the structure."

Also on stage will be three exchangers for a total of 50 square meters, intended for dancers, ballet dancers and the singer. Mariah and her team, consisting of 38 people between backing singers, dancers, physical therapist, masseuse and musicians, will occupy all available space in the dressing room known inside the Cowboy Park, as Casa dos Artistas.

The list of requirements for the dressing rooms also begins to be provided next week. One is that the air conditioning temperature must be unique in all environments. Various decorative items are also described in the requests. Premises for the offices shall be equipped with internet, phone and notebook.

Even with the special operation, Cassio Leite recalls that the infrastructure available at Cowboy Park is the same for all shows. "Mariah's team has already checked everything and we're building; and we met all the requirements of its production. They should only bring major musical intruments like drums and keyboards."

Mariah's team will arrive in Brazil on August 18. Mariah is expected to arrive either Aug. 19th or 20th via her own plane from Los Angeles to Sao Paulo, then to Barretos.

Mariah said, "I'm very excited about going back to my Brazilian fans. There are a few surprises in store with regards to the setlist. I'll be bringing back some old favorites from my early 90s plus a very special, personal song from my Butterfly album."

The company hired by the Cowboy Festival to offer sound is the Sound of Gabi, responsible for events like Rock in Rio Lisbon and Madrid. "The company is one of the three best in the world and fortunately is Brazilian," says Leite.

ahh i fdunno. She sang close my eyes in the angels advocate tour on some dates.

I just have a feeling its breakdown. because she was always syaing how its one of her most favourite songs, and how shes annoyed it didnt get its shot. Plus close my eyes wasnt on playlist.

But who knows, it could veyr well be close my eyes - which is great too. i love that song; its great for sleeping
