Shakira just confirmed she will be performing at Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla this July 19th. The opening ceremony will be at Estadio Metropolitano, the biggest Colombian stadium.

 

This is the first time she's performing in Barranquilla after almost 12 years. Last time was during Oral Fixation Tour:

Love that she's doing this! I bet people from her town are happy about it.

 

We're so happy in Barranquilla! I'm buying my airplane tickets today and I already have my entrance for the opening ceremony :)

She's reportedly doing 3 songs.

I've read she's singing Hips, Me enamoré and La bicicleta. I was expecting the Estoy aquí + Donde estas corazón instead of ME, it would have added a nostalgic touch to the night...

I thought she was gonna give her hometown A SHOW! Can you imagine hearing Shakira sing Antología in Barranquilla. I would drop with hypertension immediately... I would cease to exist.

Barranquilla truly deserves a spectacle... not a 13 minute performance.

This is not a tour date, it's a sporting event that she was pressured into. I'm surprised she's even performing.

I agree but we have already known this will be only a 3 songs show not a tour concert. But she should do at least Suerte instead of Me Enamore.

Guys, this was one part of a bigger show. It wasnt a Shakira concert. It was an opening ceremony with other performers and other things going on. In that context alloting one performer 14 minutes is actually a huge amount of time. I thought the performance was great and really well received!

I'm wondering why she hasn't performed in Barranquilla for so long... is it something to do with tour logistics in that area? Or do the Colombians hate on her like the Spanish do?

Of course, she will perform it like this on every event. She always does the same performances from tour. Tbh hips dont lie is the same since forever.
