The pictures seems promising. I hope it'll still have more of Shaki's touch than a lot of backup dancers, she's not Madonna !
But she should reaaly give real good informations about either the tour or the way she's planning to promote her album !

i dont want dancers for shewolf:@ I want just Shaki on that songs...

I don't see what the problem is. We've seen her dance alone many times on She Wolf, OA, WW, HDL, and LT. If she adds dancers now it's probably to add something new to the mix.

It's not like Shakira will be lost among the dancers. She will somehow stand out, like we've seen in the NBA performance, many HDL performances, and the recent Gypsy performances. I really don't mind seeing something new like that.

I can't wait for this darned press conference to happen already! I'm sure they're going to reveal a lot about the tour and maybe something about the album, especially if they're already preparing a video for the new single. I wonder why they are being so secretive. Does anyone have any theories as to why they've kept everything so quiet lately?

They do it every time an era is about to start. Nothing new about that. :D

I'm kind of against having back-up dancers in a lot of songs because every pop star does that, and the fact that she can dance by herself and hold her own sets Shakira apart. I remember when she came to the Staples Center in 2006, the LA Times raved about her performance, especially the fact that she needed no back-up dancers like other big stars.

well waka waka will work with back up dancers.

after thinking about it, since they ar going all out (or so they say) and working with a lot of new 'dance' material, perhaps the dancers are just a way of adding an additional element to the show. but i hope it isn't so much that it overpowers shakira's presence. i want them to be part of the background.

Is the title of the tour "Tour of Earthly Delights" yet again? We puzzle over the new title of the world tour. Shoshanna Stone wrote in her tweet about the "Tour of Earthly Delights" today. Maybe a mistake by her. She doesn't work for LN.

Plus shakira's 'tour of earthly delights' starting in sept. Can't wait to see it!

Waka aka still in the chart. It's going to have to make way for the amazing 'loca' soon!

Also, why have we not seen any promo imagery used from the painting that inspired the tour name yet?
When the name of the tour was first released along with the painting and artists name I remembered that I had seen some posters from old albums - including one by Bosch.
Couldn't recall the details, so after a search I found that Deep Purple had used part of the painting from the right panel.

Posted Image

Surprised to see that the album had distribution problems in the US, because of it's cover, way back then in 1969.

Tetragrammaton ran into difficulty over the use of the Museo del Prado-owned Hieronymus Bosch painting "The Garden of Earthly Delights" which was incorrectly perceived as being anti-religious in the US and thus rejected or poorly stocked by many record shops. The original painting is in colour although it appears in monochrome here due to a printing error for the original layout and the band opted to keep it that way

http://en.wikipedia...._Purple_(album)

We know that Shakira is not afraid to use a controversial image (on a CD cover) and I would guess she would know about Deep Purple so I am really curious to see if any of the Bosch is used on the new posters and the confusion over the tour name resolved.
We should know soon?
From the El Periodical 20th Aug

Main info roughly is that the official presentation of the World Tour was due at the end of August at the Hotel W but has been postponed to September, still in Barcelona.

I saw that in a madonna forum, they were talking about her tour, not shakira's.

She [Britney] does a magnificent show, but Gaga composes her own music, plays piano, sings, directs...The two that I admire the most are Gaga and Shakira. She's good at everything. She does choreography, dances, sings, plays drums, the complete package.

Don't be so sure yet. addy just posted this on the Tour Teaser Video thread and it checks out:

'Civilization is a video installation we created with artist/director Marco Brambilla for the elevators Standard Hotel in NYC. It's comprised of over 400 video clips and it takes elevator passengers on a trip from hell to heaven as they go up or from heaven to hell as they go down.'

That video was posted in a madonna forum, they were discussing ideas and opinions abut her next tour. Someone shared a link to that video (wich now is deleted from youtube) and he first found it in tumblr.com but i can't find it now. It's an animation created by someone. I watched this like a month ago.
So I don't think this is official nor by Jaume. I guess it's just crap from Ramon again :( .

EDIT: yep! I found it: http://visualorgasm....marco-brambilla but the video is deleted.

Here is another link:

So it's not Jaume, and I don't think this is for the tour.

Doesn't it seem a little strange that the tour will now be called Sale El Sol tour even though it was reported that we're only going to get a few songs (if that) performed from the Sale El Sol album?

The video is a teaser for the tour, it was inspired by Marco. Ramon likely just made a mistake about the video designer. Someone from her management sent Ramon the video, he likely made a mistake on the name of the designer.

In a way, its a good thing. It shows they are getting ideas from other people this time.

Marco used part of the Oral Fixation Tour artwork (that was made by Jaume) to make Civilization. That's where the confusion came from, but it is a tour teaser.

What's your source for that bit of information? I'm looking at it in HD ( http://motionographe...a-civilization/ ) and I see nothing from the Oral Fixation Tour visuals... just a couple of similarities one being the chandeliers but not the same thing. I just see a bunch of clips from movies.

http://marcobrambill...o_press_31.html
States that it was made from snippets from 300 films.

The installation in action. Also mentions the movies.
