In Poland write about hard situaton in Germany and France

gogle translate:

Snow blocks the France and Germany

District of Paris, the most important economic zone in France, today was still largely paralyzed by the snow that fell the previous day. The roads are still blocked and the airport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle was canceled several flights. Similar problems exist in many regions of Germany.

French Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux appealed to drivers to have left cars at home, if it is not absolutely necessary, due to bad road conditions caused by snow. In many places, the snow turned into a glaze.

In the capital airport of Roissy-Charles de Gaulle was canceled many flights and thousands of passengers had to spend the night there. Previous day's air traffic was difficult, and many flights were canceled or moved to other airports.

Yesterday morning in the Paris region dropped 11 inches of snow - is the largest rainfall since 1987. Precipitation ceased in the early evening.

Heavy snowfall also seriously hampered traffic on the roads today in many regions of Germany. Problems are traveling by train and airplanes.

Germany's biggest airport in Frankfurt was closed for four hours. On Thursday morning, has already canceled 85 flights, and from dusk on Wednesday - a total of 250, and 40 were directed at other airports.

An airport spokesman said Gunnar Schneunemann agency dpa, is expected to further disruption. "In the snow-covered runways or planes can not land or control. Also, visibility is impeded," - he added. According to the N24 TV news up to three thousand passengers spent the night in the past which the airport terminals.

Also, the German pop music fans have suffered because of the snow. Reference is scheduled for Wednesday night concert singer Shakira in Frankfurt, because due to winter weather stalled the star in Paris. Tickets for the concert fans bought 11,000 Shakira.

Also at the Berlin Tegel airport there was a disturbance. Canceled at least 10 flights. The biggest problems on the roads and railways occurred in Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Thuringia, Saxony and Bavaria. On the highway A9 towards Nuremberg is a 20 km traffic jam. A similar situation prevails in many places in Germany.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the police counted within 16 hours of early morning on Thursday, more than 800 accidents in which 11 people were seriously injured and 60 has had less serious injuries.

OMG... I feel so sorry for fans in Frankfurt :freddy1:
I was shocked and sad for you guys
It seemed that Shakira was waiting for her plane til the last minute but she couldn't make it

I hope they don't cancel the concert, but just postpone it
Be stronger and have a hope, guys

According to n-tv.de they're looking for a new date, or the fans will get their money back. If they really reschedule the Frankfurt concert, then it'll probably happen next year. And it could be a hint that we get a second European leg in the next year at all.

I saw the news today and now I believe that Shakira wasn't able to come because the weather in France is so terrible :)

But they should've let the fans know earlier!

I think we will get a second leg..
And that she'll do north and east Europe then + the cancelled shows ^^

Apologies are for when you do something wrong and unless Shakira has power over the weather, then there's nothing to apologize for. I'm betting every person that had tickets to the concert is aware of the situation.

The PR team probably won't say anything on the matter until they announce how they're going to make up for the days they lost.

^ I disagree.

I frequently travel to the same customer. I know when I've to go off in order to arrive in time. If I'm stuck in a traffic jam after a car crash, I call my business partners and apologize to them because I'll be late. I do so because I didn't take into account that accidents can always happen even if I'm not responsible. I won't certainly change my habits, but an excuse helps much and shows my counterpart that I respect him.

Of course Shaki is not responsible for the weather however for the tour planning even if other people take care of the day-to-day business.

I think she'd have preferred a tour of the short distances. Traveling criss-cross through Europe was certainly not her idea and is caused by other reasons, for instance by the availability of the venues. Furthermore the snow was fallen extraordinarily early this winter. However that's her tour, her name, her image. Therefore she should react if unforeseen events happened. It would have been a nice touch if anyone of her staff would have written a short phrase like "I'm so sorry. I was catched in Paris. We do our best in order to find an alternate date, but sadly I can promise nothing in the moment."

No, it was just thoughtless not to react, neither via twitter nor on shakira.com - the LN(!) website. Shaki has not only adult fans who are grown older together with her. They understand the business and don't expect too much. Her fanbase consists also of younger fans. They've looked forward to their first Shakira concert for months and were bitterly disappointed. One or two statements can change the world and convey comfort.

I'm her fan for more than 13 years. However there are sometimes incidents which make me to think she loses the grip on reality from time to time.

... to think she loses the grip on reality from time to time.

I think there's a big difference between you and Shakira. You usually do things yourself, she doesn't, she's got people doing things for her because well, she's trying to be energetic enough to jump around the globe right now, keeping most of her energy for her fans... I doubt she even carries a phone with herself... I do understand your disappointment, but it was because of the weather, I'm sure Shakira was just as disappointed, she gives all her dates and fans the same importance.

Eti says he's in the middle of the front row (I assume that means RIGHT in front of the catwalk). He says all signs indicate that she's gonna perform PET (though the aisle has been there before with no PET after all, but hey, it IS the DVD filming), and that the mask is there. Of course, this is old news by now, but I just checked my email. :P
